ACEN is a certifying body giving specific accreditation to Nursing programs over all degree levels for colleges and universities. It is perceived by the Council of Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in the United States. It gives help with the improvement of the Nursing projects and establishments offering them. The ACEN is represented by a 17-part Board of Commissioners. The Commissioners are chosen by the delegates of ACEN-licensed nursing programs. The legitimate reason for the establishment and structure of the Commission is illustrated in the Bylaws and the Articles of Incorporation.
